Gangnam Style...

What a busy day! We have walked our legs off around Seoul today enjoying the sights. First of all we went to Itaewon for a look around a few Korean shops. We all bought some frightening face masks that are popular here (no, you will not see us wearing them!)

We then went to GANGNAM....

This is where all the cool young people go shopping so of course we fit in very well indeed! The buildings are very impressive here... Lots of sky scrapers with electronic bilboards.

After lunch we made our way over to the Bongeunsa Temple which is a 1200 year old temple in the centre of Seoul. The students were all fascinated by the architecture.

Some of us spent some time in the main Buddha hall to meditate, a very relaxing experience. Many Buddhists who livening Seoul visit here regularly to pray.

There was also a huge Buddha statue outside of the temple which we all loved! Here we all are, Nottingham Girls' Academy and Nottingham Academy students and teachers with our fantastic guide He-Joo who spent a month in Nottingham Academy last year on a teacher exchange.

Then after dinner we strolled back through the busy Hongdae area where we are staying. It looks fantastic at night time!

We are all having a fabulous time! Tomorrow we will be at He-Joo's schools meeting his students and then going up the Samsung Tower... The highest building in Seoul! Hope nobody is afraid of heights...!
